Immune system has the capacity to protect body from pathogens like bacteria and viruses when the pathogens invade into the body. However, sometimes, the immune system doesn’t work the way it should, resulting in the development of immune disorders such as autoimmune diseases and allergies. Therefore, understanding of the mechanism of normal immune reactions as well as the cause of immune system dysfunctions is required for development of new therapeutic strategies and generation of new medicines that are useful for the patients with immune disorders. In this symposium, 5 speakers will talk about cutting-edge topics in immunology and allergology. Let’s discuss how the immune system works properly and/or what is the reason for development of autoimmune diseases and allergies in this symposium.
