[1111] Influence of coexisting geopolymerization and cement hydration on drying shrinkage behavior of cement-added fly ash-based geopolymer mortar
Keywords:Geopolymer、 drying shrinkage、 dehydration、 cement addition、 hydration
Evaporation of water generated during dehydration is one of the key factors in the drying shrinkage of geopolymer. This study examined the coexistence of geopolymer and cement to evaluate its influence on drying shrinkage of geopolymer. Fly ash was partially replaced with 10% cement with the aim of consuming pore water through hydration to suppress water evaporation and reduce drying shrinkage. Cement hydration was accelerated due to the high alkalinity of geopolymer solution, which adversely altered the reaction products and pore structures of geopolymer, resulting in larger drying shrinkage.
