[1N02] Evaluation of Adsorption Properties of U(VI) on Inorganic Adsorbents

The distribution properties of U(VI) on various inorganic adsorbents were evaluated under the different solution conditions in order to investigate the adsorption properties of U for the decontamination of highly contaminated water. Under the solution condition of highly concentrated U(VI)/boric acid/diluted seawater, the uptake (%) of U(VI) was above 20% for zeolites A, X, Y and CST, potassium titanate and bentonite, and the adsorption is related to the ion exchange or surface preciptation.
