At the Fukushima No.1 nuclear power plant, the cesium adsorbed zeolite is increasing due to secondary waste from treating radioactive contaminated water.
Based on this back ground, we measured the physical properties of cement solid form mixed with zeolites as the basic study to examine the feasibility of the cement solidification method.
As the results, it seems that the compressive strength of cement solid form mixed with zeolites is sufficient in terms , the cement matrix became dense, and the effective diffusion coefficient was slightly smaller compared with ordinary concrete.
