CuCrZr and Cu-ODS alloys were exposed to H2, D2 and H2-D2 mixture gases and then subjected to thermal desorption spectroscopy. Radiation effects were studied using 5.1 MeV Cu ions. Significant isotope effects and radiation effects were observed; lighter hydrogen isotope molecules desorbed at lower temperatures, and hydrogen isotope retention clearly increased with Cu ion irradiation.
