[2G02] Excitation function measurement to produce 99Mo by alpha-induced reactions on natural zirconium

99Mo is a generator of 99mTc which is the most used radioisotope in all nuclear medicine procedures. We studied the excitation function of the 96Zr(a,x)99Mo reaction with a 50 MeV a beam from the RIKEN AVF cyclotron based on a stacked-foil activation technique. Our result shows large disagreements with the earlier experimental data and the TENDL data.
