[2H19] Development of a prompt gamma ray imaging detector using LaBr3(Ce)scintillator for BNCT

A prompt gamma ray imaging detector with LaBr3(Ce) and 8x8 arrays MPPC was developed for BNCT. Detector characterization was performed using boron samples. Results showed that this imaging detector can discriminate between 478 and 511 keV gamma rays and measure two dimensional boron distribution in real-time, even though the two peaks overlapped partially.
