Yttria stabilized cubic zirconia (YSZ) receives considerable attention as a transmutation target of LLFP. This work reports the structure and accumulation process of ion tracks in YSZ induced by high density electronic excitation with 200 MeVXe14+ ions. Transmission and scanning transmission electron microscopy (TEM and STEM) revealed the size of core region of ion-track, in which the fluorite structure is maintained and atom number density is depressed, is 1.5 nm in diameter. Analysis on the accumulation of ion tracks showed the presence of recovery region of 4.6 nm in diameter, which is significantly larger than the core region.
