[P1-213] Report of Two Cases of Reversible Ischemic Neurological Deficit in Children

Yan-Feng Zhang (Department of Pediatrics, the first Hospital of JiLin University, China)

Ischemic cerebrovascular diseases had been classificated as 3 categories: TIA, reversible ischemic neurological deficit (RIND), and completed ischemic stroke. A RIND was defined as symptoms lasting between 1 day and 3 weeks. In this text we reported two cases of RIND in children. Case 1 was a girl of 13 years old ,whom had been diagnosed as Sturge-Weber syndrom at birth, representing as hemiplegia of left limbs. There was no responsible nidus on the regular sequences of MRI ( including T1, T2, FLAIR, DWI, ADC ) after 3days. However the MRA indicated a congenital variation of right cerebral posterior artery and posterior communicating artery. The girl recovered 4 days after. Case 2 was a girl of 11 years old ,whom had been diagnosed as pneumonia and cerebral infarction due to severe infection 4 years ago, representing as dizziness, disarthria, and ataxia. Similarly, there was no responsible nidus on the MRI, but the MRA showed a stenosis of internal carotid aterry, middle and anterior cerebral artery of right side, and she recovered 3days after. RIND is rare in children clinically and it is necessary to search the causes under this superficial phenomenon.
