[P3-174] Features of WISC-Ⅳ Profile in Patients with Anorexia Nervosa

Ryoko Otani (Dokkyo Medical University Koshigaya Hospital Child Development and Psychosomatic Medicine Center, Japan)

[Objective]We studied the features of Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fouth Edition (WISC-IV) profile in patients with Anorexia Nervosa (AN). [Methodology]Patients are twenty-two females diagnosed with AN proposed by DSM-5. All patients had their first visit between January 2012 and September 2015. WISC-IV was assessed after they improved nutritional status. [Result]The age median for the patients was 14 years 4 months . The median for the degree of obesity at the first visit: -35.0 % (-47.8~8.9%), current degree of obesity: -14.2% (-35.1~19.0%). the Full Scale Intelligence Quotient (FSIQ) average: 101.5±16.1 (69~129), the Verbal Comprehension Index (VCI) average: 104.1±16.1 (72~133),the Perceptual Reasoning Index (PRI) average:97.1±16.5(71~124),Working Memory Index (WMI) average:97.8±9.1(88~118), the Perceptual Speed Index (PSI) average 102.6±17.2 (70~132). In a correlation analysis between the degree of obesity at the first visit and index and subset scores, processing speed, vocabulary and symbol search showed a negative correlation. In addition, a correlation analysis of the current degree of obesity and vocabulary showed negative correlation. [Conclusion]The average of WISC-IV index and subtest scores of the AN girl assessed. Processing speed and symbol search (rapidity and accuracy of simple work) and vocabulary (learning ability and knowledge) tended to be higher for patients losing at the first visit, and the tendency for patients who are still thinner now tends to have vocabulary higher. It is necessary to consider how this result relates to clinical features of patients.
