Keywords:Mössbauer spectroscopy, peak intensity tensor, Ca-poor pyroxene

Mössbauer spectra of thin sections of single crystal of two Ca-poor pyroxenes were measured to confirm compositional dependences of peak intensity tensor from intensity variation of quadrupole doublet. Three components of the intensity tensor of Fe-poor and Fe-rich ortho-pyroxene suggest that IXX and IZZ show weak chemical dependence of Fe2+ and IYYis independent of Fe2+ components. This indirectly suggests that the intensity tensor of Fe ions at the M sites of pyroxene is independent of Ca-contents.
