[1F14] Bottom-up synthesis of MgO-based Ziegler-Natta catalysts by spray-drying method and its application to the synthesis of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene

MgOナノ粒子をTiCl₄で処理することで得られる触媒は成型加工に優れた超高分子量ポリエチレンを与えるが、微粒子であるが故に取扱いが難しい。本研究ではMgOナノ粒子をあらかじめスプレードライによって球状に成型することで、前述の触媒の利点を保ったまま取扱いに優れた二次凝集触媒を得た。球状のZiegler-Natta触媒においてこのようなボトムアップ式の調製は初めての例である。
