[2F18] Low Temperature Oxidative Coupling of CH4 over Cerium Oxide Based Catalyst
Keywords:OCM, Low temperature, Ceria
Eliminating the deep oxidation in the gas phase through surface dimerization of CH3 radicals is a possible way to increase C2 yield in OCM. A low temperature reaction is required to prevent the desorption of CH3 radicals into the gas phase. The MCY catalyst with varied metal incorporation and varied types of CeO2 were developed. 5%FeCA catalyst has the best catalytic activity with 27% of CH4 conversion and 1.4% of C2 yield at 500 oC. The incorporation of Fe into CeO2 produced larger specific surface area and more mesoporous pore size that effective for OCM CH4 activity at low temperatures.
