[2A01] Design of ternary Pt single atom catalysts to break away from the lifetime-activity trade-off relationship of hydrogen carrier catalysts and to save precious metal.
Keywords:MCH dehydrogenation, Pt single atom, Ternary metal alloy
The methylcyclohexane (MCH)-toluene (TOL) system, one of the hydrogen carriers, has attracted much attention due to its easy handling. Conventional MCH dehydrogenation catalysts often use Pt nanoparticles, but they waste a large amount of internal Pt. In this presentation, we report that a catalyst consisting of Pt single atom on Cu and Fe base metal alloys is a possible solution to the above problem. The TOF of the Pt single atom alloy catalyst (Pt1-CuFe-r-TiO2) at 350°C was 15 times higher than the maximum value reported previously.
