[2C03] Olefin polymerization by nickel catalyst bearing bulky olefinic substituent on nitrogen atoms
Keywords:Ni(II) complex, stereospecific , propylene polymerization
Recently, in the chemistry of olefin polymerization using Ni(II) complexes, stereospecific polymerization of propylene at ambient temperature and pressure would be one of the ultimate goals, and many researchers tackled this problem by designing the catalyst. Here, we newly designed some ligand for Ni(II) catalyst such as diimine, anilinonaphthoquinone, and phenoxiimine, which bears bulky olefinic substituent on their nitrogen atoms. X-ray structural characterization and elucidation of these catalysts by propylene polymerization revealed the effect of olefinic substituent, which has yet to be considered so far.
