[2C17] Electrochemical oxidation of linear alcohols using oxide nanoparticle catalysts

Electrochemical reactions have attracted attention in recent years as a clean synthetic process that does not use oxidants. Useful compounds such as aldehydes can be synthesized by oxidation of alcohols, but electrochemical alcohol conversion methods have not been established. In previous electrochemical alcohol oxidation, the oxidation products have rarely been analyzed, and precious metal catalysts have been mainly used. In this study, we present details of oxide nanoparticle catalysts that can efficiently electrochemically oxidize alcohols.
