[2E09] Introduction of VUV(Vacuum Ultraviolet) Detecter Characteristics and Analysis Examples.

○Kazuhiko Kimura1, Kei Takahashi (1. Ken Products Development corporation)

Keywords:vacuum, wavelength, selectivity

VUV detectors exhibit high sensitivity in the wavelength range of 100 to 200 nm, allowing for higher sensitivity measurements than photodetectors in other wavelength ranges. The VUV region contains light of specific wavelengths, which improves the specificity of analysis and provides high selectivity, which is useful for analyzing sample composition, structure, and chemical reactions. The molecular weight limit of the VUV detector is several hundred Daltons, making it possible to identify olefins and naphthenes. This time, we will introduce an analysis example of VUV-GC.
