[16a-2H-13] Characterization and Photocatalytic Activities of SrTi1−XCoXO3 Thin Films Prepared by Liquid State Pulsed Laser Ablation.

Co doped SrTiO3 thin films that contain oxygen defects were prepared liquid state PLA method and H2 annealing. Doping of transition metal cation to SrTiO3, a photocatalyst for methylene blue decomposition under visble light irradiation, was examined for the control of defect structure as well as photocatalysis. Doping Co with oxygen defects effectively enhance photocatalytic activity. Co makes oxygen defects stable state without Ti3+. XPS spectra showsCo3+/Co4+ ratio increase as H2 anneal temperature increase. It was demonstrated that cation with valence lower than that of the parent cation intentionally introduce oxygen defects and decrease Ti3+ is effective to photocatalytic activity.
