[9a-PA2-36] Optical reflection and scattering from Ag-coated polystyrene particles

Previously, we demonstrated that a multi-functional biosensor chip was obtained by Ag-coated polystyrene particles prepared by the spin-coating of a acetone solution of polystyrene. In this study, the optical reflection and scattering from the surface were investigated in more detail. As a result, it was found that the surface of Ag-coated polystyrene particles interacted with blue light strongly and the interaction results in the sensing functions.
