[8p-Z02-7] Phonon transport control by using peculiar structures for thermoelectric performance enhancement

Yoshiaki Nakamura1, Fujita Takeshi2 (1.Osaka Univ., 2.Kochi Univ. Technol.)

Keywords:Nanostructure, thermoelectric properties, Thermal conductivity

Nanostructuring for thermal conductivity reduction has drawn much attention as one of the ways to develop the high performance thermoelectric materials. We are focusing on the enhancement of thermoelectric conversion power factor by control of phonon and heat conduction. In this paper, we are talking about the thermoelectric properties of nanostructures and the results of the power factor enhancement originating in heat conduction related to peculiar nanostructures in the Si-based materials.
