[12a-A201-4] Prismatic single crystal growth of Fe-Ga alloys by vertical Bridgman method

We succeeded in the vertical Bridgman growth of Fe-Ga alloy prismatic single crystals with side of base 1.7 inch and 100 mm long which were available for materials of vibration power generators. As in the case of the columnar crystal, the Fe-Ga alloy prismatic single crystals showed the magnetostriction coefficient of about 300 ppm in an <100> direction.
