Perovskite oxides (ABO3) are prototypical oxide materials for both electronics application and fundamental science due to their wide range of functionalities. Especially ruthenates (B = Ru) have gathered attention as a typical ferromagnetic metal, and enormous effort has been devoted to clarifying the origin of magnetism in relation to A-site ion radii. Here we report on magnetotransport properties of perovskite PbRuO3 single crystalline thin films. Perovskite PbRuO3 has been reported to be paramagnetic with anti-ferromagnetic spin correlation, opposed to the simple prediction only from Pb2+ ion radius, by two groups, but they have claimed different electronic ground states contrary to each other. Despite of these intriguing features, fundamental physical properties of perovskite PbRuO3 still remain unknown as it is synthesized only in polycrystalline bulk form under high pressure.
