While efforts to close the gender gap are progressing rapidly around the world, Japanese universities still lag behind especially in the field of engineering. Moreover, few studies have focused on female engineering researchers . This paper focuses on the Eight-University Engineering Association and discusses the current situation of female engineering researchers in Japan.
