[1Hp01(招待講演)] Multifunctional nanostructured materials to devices
The 2D layered materials have gained immense attention as multifunctional materials due to their unique properties and wide range of applications. MoS2 is a versatile 2D layered material possessing extraordinary electrical, chemical, optical, and mechanical properties. We have employed MoS2 in diverse applications, including photocatalysis, gas sensing, super capacitor, dye-sensitized solar cell, and bulk, thin-film, flexible and wearable thermoelectrics. We have achieved state-of-the-art results in each of these applications by carefully tuning the intrinsic property of MoS2. We have found that doping has a substantial role in enhancing the performance of MoS2, irrespective of its applications. Additionally, the flexibility of the material has supported us to explore its thermoelectric performance in various forms. By forming hierarchical structures, we have achieved a record-high zT of 1.17 in MoS2-based bulk thermoelectric material. Also, we fabricated a MoS2-based wearable thermoelectric generator for real-time energy conversion from human body heat and achieved an outstanding output voltage of 1.2 mV.
