[2Bp06] DNP surface-enhanced NMR spectroscopy for metal oxides and sulfides
In recent years, DNP surface-enhanced NMR spectroscopy (DNP-SENS) has been developed as a unique analytical technique for characterization of surface structures at atomic level scale, and is being applied to various materials. In DNP-SENS experiments, polarization transfer "e- ⇒ 1H ⇒ observation nuclei" is necessary, but when the observation nuclei are quadrupole nuclei, which account for 74 % of the periodic table, polarization transfer from 1H was hard to perform. In this presentation, we introduce novel pulse sequences, adiabatic D-RINEPT, that can transfer the polarization from 1H to the quadrupolar nuclei and show its application to metal oxides and sulfides.
