[3Ea01] Light-field-driven STM using subcycle mid-infrared pulses
We succeeded in developing broadband mid-infrared (MIR) pulses with the pulse duration less than monocycle and light-field-driven scanning tunneling microscopy. Our system show the temporal resolution of 29 fs in atomic scale measurements. This technique can be expected to give a new insight into ultrafast dynamics of non-equilibrium electrons on surfaces.
