[085] Analysis of Location Determining Factors of KIBS : Focusing on the Manufacturing Supporting Type
Keywords:Knowledge-Intensive Business Services (KIBS), Manufacturing Industry, Location Determining Factors, Binomial Logistic Regression Analysis
This study aims to clarify the location factors to attract the KIBS to the manufacturing specialized area through Logistic regression analysis. Since the decline of the manufacturing industry causes population outflow and weakens the regional economy, various solution was proposed. Among them, KIBS, which is an industry that increases corporate added value through knowledge and has a positive effect on the local economy, has been actively discussed and reflected in policies of many countries. This study confirmed that the TS type is highly related to the manufacturing industry based on the location distribution by type of KIBS, and derived that manufacturing-related variables and regional industrial characteristics are major location determinants through the binomial logistic regression model.
