Hydrogen is one of the most promising light element candidates in the Earth's core. There have conducted many neutron diffraction experiments and determined the site occupancies of deuterated hydrogen into iron. In this study, we focus on Si, a candidate light element in the core, and determined deuterium occupancies of the iron-silicon-deuterium ternary system by neutron diffraction. In addition, by comparing the results with those of experimental hydrogenation of pure iron in previous studies, the influence of Si on iron hydrogenation is also estimated.
