This study investigates the effects of LiOH, NaOH, and KOH as alkali activators on geopolymer mortar properties using GGBS, FA, and silica fume as binders. LiOH showed delayed setting and lower compressive strength due to Li₂SiO₃ formation and limited SiO₂ extraction. NaOH achieved the highest strength through effective polymerization, while KOH performed moderately. XRD analysis highlighted the impact of alkali metal ions on microstructure. Further research is required to optimize LiOH-based geopolymers.
