Materials that passively lower temperatures in direct sunlight due to the phenomenon of radiative cooling (radiative sky cooling materials) are expected to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society. This material is optically designed to emit more energy into space via thermal radiation in the 8-13 μm wavelength range, where atmospheric transmittance is high, than it absorbs energy from sunlight and atmospheric thermal radiation when the outside temperature and the temperature of the material are the same. We report the results of the application of this material to electrical equipment, etc., and the reduction of power consumption required for cooling equipment by 19% or more, and the reduction of environmental temperatures compared to the case where the material was not applied.
