[3Ba-03] Search of the life-style related diseases prevention ingredient in Celery seeds

[Objectives] In this study, we focused on life-style related diseases prevention, and examined the AGEs generation inhibitory activity and ACE inhibitory activity of the constituent included in Celery seeds for preventing aging progression and disease.
[Results] Eight compounds were isolated from Celery seeds, and their structures were established on basis of MS and NMR spectroscopy. As a result, several compounds and extracts showed remarkable activity. As for compounds and extracts, it might be used in general as supplement and food additives to take every day.
