[1Ga01] Magnetization of compositionally-graded Ru-substituted LSMO epitaxial thin films
This study primarily focused on epitaxial thin film LSMO with Ru substitution, demonstrating successful implementation of compositional Ru-gradient structures and their impact on magnetic characteristics. The thin films was confirmed to have a linear gradient in Ru composition along the thickness direction, still with their half-metallicity and ferromagnetic attributes even at room temperature. In contrast to homogeneous Ru-substituted films, the counterparts with such compositional gradients manifested distinctive magnetic properties, including their elevated saturation magnetization and enhanced coercive force values. Moreover, their in-plane magnetic anisotropy, commonly found in pristine LSMO thin films, almost vanished due to a possible incorporation of Ru. This work underscores the promising potential of compositionally-graded structures to modulate the magnetic properties in Ru-substituted LSMO, opening its advanced spintronic applications in the future.
