[2P21] Current status of the development of ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy system at Nanoterasu BL08U
We are developing an ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (APXPS) system at NanoTerasu, a synchrotron radiation facility that is currently under construction in Tohoku university. We aim to realize soft X-ray APXPS measurements at 1 bar by utilizing highly brilliant soft X-rays at NanoTerasu. To secure enough photoelectron signals at 1 bar, we modified the system design so that attenuation of incident X-rays as well as scattering of outgoing photoelectrons by gas molecules is efficiently suppressed. We also modified the gas-filling method from the cell type to the back-filling type. This will make the control of sample environment more flexible and enable APXPS measurements under various conditions.
