[2P36] Evaluation of NH3 adsorption properties on hydrogen bolide sheets
Hydrogen boride (HB) sheets are light weight two-dimensional materials firstly synthesized in 2017, which have solid acid catalytic property originated from the protonic nature of hydrogen in HB. In this work, we found that HB adsorb NH3 by exposing it to ammonia water vapor at 300 K and drying it at 343 K. The IR peak at 2500 cm-1 was found to shift about 40 cm-1 to lower wavenumbers, indicating terminal B-H bonds are weakened by NH3 adsorption. We also found that NH3 desorb from HB at 640 K, indicating that NH3 chemisorbed on HB sheets. Further details about NH3 adsorption will be presented.
