Symposium
Sat. Mar 30, 2024 9:45 AM - 11:45 AM [Room 301] Conference Center 301 (3F)
Organizer: Hiroki Akiba (Grad. Sch. Pharm. Sci., Kyoto Univ.; NIBIOHN), Eisuke Kanao (Grad. Sch. Pharm. Sci., Kyoto Univ.; NIBIOHN)
The landscape of drug discovery is under dramatic change. In addition to the emergence of new drug modalities, new basic technologies such as cryo-electron microscopy and artificial intelligence accelerate the development of conventional modalities including small molecules and antibodies. Under this circumstance, various approaches that go beyond the traditional boundaries inside pharmaceutical science are needed through the fusion of insights of researchers with different backgrounds. In this symposium, six scientists will present their approaches from their unique perspectives with a common research interest in proteins. The frontier of pharmaceutical science arising from interdisciplinary collaboration is discussed. We expect to involve a diverse range of researchers from various fields in this unexplored land.
