The human body hosts a diverse microbiome comprising over 100 trillion microorganisms, increasingly acknowledged for its profound connection to health and disease. Recent findings suggest that the microbiome plays a pivotal role in regulating infection control, immune responses, and even neuropsychiatric functions. At this symposium, we are proud to convene leading experts engaged in groundbreaking research across various disciplines. They will delve into the latest insights on how disease states are influenced by the microbiome, as revealed through advanced analysis, and discuss cutting-edge research developments. Additionally, we will showcase innovative treatments utilizing host-specific phages, marking a new frontier in therapeutic strategies. This symposium aims to spur forward-thinking discussions, enhance understanding of the human microbiome's critical role in health and disease and inspire the next wave of clinical innovations."
