[S29] Front lines of nuclear receptor research; characterization, functional modification and biological effects

Sat. Mar 30, 2024 9:45 AM - 11:45 AM [Room 303] Conference Center 303 (3F)

Organizer: Daisuke Matsumaru (Gifu Pharm. Univ.), Sawako Shindo (Meiji Pharm. Univ.)

The biological effects of environmental chemicals have been a concern for many years, including the four big pollution diseases of Japan, occupational cancer, endocrine disrupters, and next-generation effects. Nuclear receptors are targets for many chemicals and are involved in a wide range of biological phenomena across species, including development, reproduction, aging, metabolism and homeostasis. Therefore, the biological effects of their disturbance and/or modification are critical for both humans and environmental organisms. The field of pharmaceutical sciences including environmental hygiene can contribute to protecting human health and to constructing a sustainable society through the elucidation of biological effects and risk assessment of chemical substances. In this symposium, each discussant will present current research topics on nuclear receptors, including the biological effects of their modifications. We will also discuss novel functions of nuclear receptors and risk assessments of environmental chemicals.

オーガナイザー挨拶:進藤 佐和子(明治薬大) (9:45 AM - 9:47 AM)

総括:松丸 大輔(岐阜薬大) (11:43 AM - 11:45 AM)
