[S38] The symposium organized by Division of Pharmaceutical Health Sciences and Environmental Toxicology—Mechanisms of neurotoxicity and biological responses induced by chemical exposure

Sat. Mar 30, 2024 1:15 PM - 3:15 PM [Room 303] Conference Center 303 (3F)

Organizer: Gi-Wook Hwang (Fac. Pharmaceut. Sci., Tohoku Med. Pharmaceut. Univ.), Kei Nakayama (Kobe Pharm. Univ.)

The nervous system intricately regulates diverse biological responses, encompassing cognition, emotion, behavior, and endocrine functions. Consequently, exposure to both exogenous and endogenous neurotoxic chemicals can profoundly impact human health. Extensive toxicological investigations have identified a spectrum of neurotoxic substances, each with distinct target cells, suggesting a multimodal nature of neurotoxicological mechanisms. This symposium aims to present the latest advancements in neurotoxicological research, offering insights into various neurotoxic chemicals. We anticipate that this symposium will serve as a platform to elucidate the hidden connections within neurotoxicology and contribute to the development of strategies for mitigating the adverse impacts of chemical exposure on the nervous system.

シンポジウム概要・趣旨説明:中山 啓(神戸薬大) (1:15 PM - 1:17 PM)
