Certification of Specialist pharmacist systems have been established in many fields, such as oncology and infectious diseases, and each field has created specialist pharmacists and certified pharmacists. While it is necessary to improve one's own knowledge and skills in order to obtain a specialty certification, the essence is to contribute to patients by utilizing the expertise acquired after obtaining the certification.
Certification of Specialist pharmacist systems
There are situations in which pharmacists should be involved in cancer treatment, such as exposure control of anticancer drugs, confirmation of doses brought at the time of hospitalization, and outpatient chemotherapy. In this symposium, symposiasts who are active in the medical field will speak about their activities in each situation and their evaluation. The content will include the recent focus on advanced approaches to protocol based pharmacotherapy management between physicians and pharmacists and a pharmaceutical outpatient clinic for chemotherapy. In addition, it is important to ensure the sustainability of high-quality activities by pharmacists into the future, and the necessary collaboration with university pharmacy schools will be shared with the audience. This symposium will provide an opportunity to discuss the contributions of pharmacists to patients in the field of oncology and their evaluation from the perspectives of medicine, clinical research, and education.
