[S69] Precise Chemical Control of Appropriate Biological Responses

Sun. Mar 31, 2024 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM [Room 502] Conference Center 502 (5F)

Organizer: Hiroyuki Miyachi (drug discovery initiative, Tokyo Univ.), Kazuo Nagasawa (Grad. Sch. Tec., Tokyo Noukou Univ.)

Conventionally, the synthesis of organic compounds aimed at analyzing and controlling biological functions, as well as creating pharmaceuticals, has traditionally focused on structural development of compounds using in-vivo ligands and natural products as starting points. Many results have been obtained. However, in today's post-genome era, there is a need for the creation of chemical and pharmacological tools that are more functional and highly active than ever before, and that exhibit appropriate effects and efficacy in vivo. We believe that the key is to accumulate and organize precise and multifaceted biological function information, and to come up with bold ideas and put them into practice based on this information.
In this symposium, we will propose a variety of highly functional chemical tools, pharmacological tools, and even drug discovery concepts based on our own logic, ideas, and concepts, and highlight the pioneering research that is being actively conducted on synthesis and evaluation. We will have a lecture by a person. I would like to think about the future creation of precision biological response modulators from each presentation.
