[2] Anton Paar Japan K.K.
The Anton Paar Group is headquartered in the Republic of Austria and will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year. Over 3400 employees at the headquarters in Graz, nine other producing subsidiaries, and 33 sales subsidiaries worldwide ensure that Anton Paar products live up to their excellent reputation. The core competence of Anton Paar – high-precision production – and close contact to the scientific community form the basis for the quality of Anton Paar’s instruments. Anton Paar’s strong sales network in more than 110 countries guarantees customers rapid support and answers to their application and service queries.
Anton Paar Japan K.K., a wholly owned Japanese subsidiary, was established in 2009 to provide expanded after-sales support to Japanese customers. The company is headquartered in Sumida-ku, Tokyo, and operates from two offices in Osaka. Anton Paar develops, produces and distributes highly accurate laboratory instruments and process measuring systems, and provides custom-tailored automation and robotic solutions. It is the world leader in the measurement of density, concentration and CO2 and in the field of rheometry.

In this conference, we will introduce particle size distribution and zeta potential analyzer, small angle X-ray scattering spectrometer (SAXS) as a tool for colloid structure analysis, and rheometer as a tool for rheological property analysis.
Anton Paar offers two different technologies to characterize particles from the nanometer to the millimeter range. The Litesizer series employs light-scattering technology to determine not only particle size, but also zeta potential, transmittance, molecular mass, and the refractive index of nano- and microparticles in liquid dispersions. The PSA series uses laser diffraction technology to measure the size of particles in both liquid dispersions and dry powders in the micro and millimeter range. Side by side they open up a wide range of possibilities for comprehensive particle characterization. Use the surface zeta potential, measured by the SurPASS™ 3 electrokinetic analyzer, to predict electrostatic attraction or repulsion between solutes and solid surfaces. Further, the zeta potential of particles in the nanometer range is commonly used as an indicator of the stability of colloidal dispersions and is determined by the Litesizer™. Zeta potential in general represents the surface charge and functionality and is a prerequisite for determining the material’s isoelectric point. Besides the classical use of zeta potential, Anton Paar has developed correlations to material conductance, porosity, and swelling.

https://www.anton-paar.com/us-en/products/group/surface-charge-and-zeta-potential/ Anton Paar’s SAXSpoint 5.0 and SAXSpace small-angle X-ray scattering systems employ brilliant X-ray sources and optics to produce an X-ray beam of the utmost spectral purity and flux. In combination with the system’s scatterless beam collimation and state-of-the-art hybrid photon-counting (HPC) detectors, you can count on a high signal-to-noise ratio and perfect overall data quality. Anton Paar nanostructure analyzers offer the most comprehensive and versatile selection of sample stages for your nanostructured samples. Whether you conduct studies of nanostructured surfaces, tensile tests, structural studies under controlled temperature, humidity or pressure, or perform gas reaction measurements, Anton Paar SAXS/WAXS/GISAXS/RheoSAXS systems are easily equipped to characterize your nanostructured sample.

The MCR rheometer series from the market leader offers you one thing first and foremost: an open range of possibilities. Whatever your rheological requirements are and will be in the future – based on its modular setup, your MCR rheometer is efficiently and comfortably adapted and extended to meet your needs, from routine quality control to high-end R&D applications. An investment in an MCR rheometer is always a safe investment in longstanding technology: The air-bearing-supported EC motor, for example, was developed by Anton Paar and has been used in all MCR models for over 25 years to ensure accuracy across a vast viscosity range. It makes it possible to measure liquids with a viscosity even lower than water and also characterize stiff materials like polymer composites or steel by DMA – and everything in-between.
