It is our great pleasure to announce the International Conference on Hyperfine Interactions and their Applications (HYPERFINE2023), which will be held, between 13th and 17th of November 2023, in Nara which is an ancient capital of Japan. This conference continues the tradition of the International Conference on Hyperfine Interactions and the Symposium on Nuclear Quadrupole Interactions, which have been held regularly since 1967, integrated since 2004 and renamed to this simpler version in 2016.
The HYPERFINE conference series provides a transdisciplinary scientific forum for advances in fundamental and applied science related to hyperfine interactions, including nuclear quadrupole interactions, detected by nuclear radiation and resonance methods. As a major international forum aimed at underlining recent results and future paradigm shifting directions in all aspects of hyperfine interactions, the conference will bring together scientists, experts, and students from a wide variety of scientific disciplines including theoretical, nuclear, atomic, and condensed matter physics, materials science, synchrotron research, chemistry, biology, medicine, geology, and engineering and will strive to emphasize potential technological applications in these fields.
Although there are still some uncertainties regarding the Covid-19 situation during the conference, at the present time the organizing committee anticipates that the international meeting will be held face-to-face.
