[1801-09-01] The Oxidation of Arsenite in Different Anions Fenton-like Systems

Arsenic (As) is one of hot-topic contaminations in various wastewaters. The oxidation of arsenite (As(III)) by ferric (Fe(III)) complexes in absence and presence of H2O2 was investigated in sulfuric, chloride and nitric acid solutions. In addition, the Fe(III)-As(III) complexes was proved by UV-Vis test and the adverse effects on Fenton-like reaction was inferred in As(III) oxidation experiments. All experimental results were explained according to the theoretical calculations.
