Coal Database and Coal Sample Bank have been established to deal with any demands of coal for Japanese companies and researchers. The number of the data and samples will be increased in the project. Coal Sample Bank will be made the best use of a basic research, a technological development and deployment in the fields of coal. For this purpose, we plan to execute activities the project by the end of 215 as follows; (a) collection of the coal with a focus on a low rank coal. (b) analysis of trace elements in coal. (c) disclose of the analytical data on the web site in JCOAL. (d) increase analytical sensitivity of trace elements. (e) retaining and delivery of coal samples. (f) public relations campaigns for the database and the sample bank.
