[3812-23-03] Effect of Na2CO3 addition on reducing and sulfur-fixing smelting process of lead-bearing solid wastes

In order to solve the problem of recycling the lead-bearing wastes including zinc plant residues and spent lead acid battery paste ineffectively, this paper put forward a novel method called reducing and sulfur-fixing smelting, with doing research on effect of Na2CO3 addition on smelting process. The reducing and sulfur-fixing smelting has the advantages of short process flow, cleaning and efficiency, recovering lead and fixing sulfur by one-step smelting. The result showed that with Na2CO3 addition improving, the content of Pb in matte gradually decreased, leading to direct recovery rate of Pb increasing. Besides, the content of Zn in matte went up steadily, but the amount of Zn into volatile phase declined gradually. Additionally, more and more S could be fixed into slag and matte. However, Na2CO3 addition made no difference to distribution behavior of Fe in product and chemical composition of slag and matte.
