[PE1-007] Separation of plastic from Automobile Suredder Residue

asr is mixture of plastic, glass and rubber that is thrown away as industrial waste after crushing elv with it, and materials are still included in it valuable.
the recycling rate of the elv improved to approximately 99% in 2013 from 83% in 2000 after the establishment of automobile recycling in japan.
nevertheless to recycling method for iron in almost establishment, the recycling method for plastics in developed especially material recycling.
the thermal method for plastics is popular now.
an additional agent called talc is included in pp (polypropylene) used by automobile plastics.
therefore specific gravity sorting becomes difficult and a use after the recycling is different because purity and specific gravity are different by an additional agent.
at first it is necessary to check the component to establish a recycling method in asr of plastic.
therefore i analyze plastic component by ir for asr of 35-100mm collected in kyushu metal industry company.
in addition, i make 0.95, 0.999 g/cm3 of specific gravity liquid about pp. and decided purity of the pp. by doing specific gravity separation.
heavy pp. including tare is not always sink in the specific gravity separation.
the problems include two possible factors.
(i)the possibility that specific gravity of the liquid became big during the separation by mud and metal having soluble material.
(ii)the possibility that specific gravity of plastic became small as a result that air bubbles attached to the plastic surface.
i performed the analysis of the soluble material and mud by icp and the observation with the optical microscope about (i).
and i made solution of a surfactant (hexametaphosphoric acid sodium) and the water and consider influence about (ii).
as a result, (ii) caused by the problems became clear.
