This purpose of the dual processing platform was to provide a resourcizition method from the high calorific value refuse derived fuel (RDF) system and the high value ecological treatment system. For the high calorific value RDF system, the key technology was integrated the organic sludge, waste starch and waste cooking oil and resources recovery process by extrusion molding, fry-modified, radiation, pickling and separation for high calorific value. Because the organic sludge had the high water content (>75%) and the heater drying process for organic sludge was not straightforward owing to the unpleasant odors, the contamination of microorganism, expensive treatment costs, and energy consumption and other shortcomings. The HCRDF-5 fuel rod was easy to handle and odor free. It had a higher calorific value range (5,000~7,200 kcal / kg) than the RDF-5 standards (3,500 ~ 4,500 kcal / kg) and could be processed into organic sludge derived fuels replace coal. For the high value ecological treatment system, the core technology was integrated pretreatment, technology feeding and production history for earthworm and growing environment good for feeding for treatment multiple solid wastes. In Taiwan, according to the statistics information from Waste Management Department of EPA, the Council of Agriculture and other government agencies in 2015, quality of solid wastes were generated more than 1.7 million tons. There are including 800,000 tons of organic sludge, 100,000 tons of waste cooking oil, 70,000 tons of (nearing) expiration date food products, 680,000 tons of wastes from agriculture, forestry and livestock, and 80,000 tons of specific industrial waste. However, there have low reuse, high treatment cost, odors and environment pollution problems. Because of limit of recycling technology, there is no benefit for treatment wastes with NT$5,000 per ton treatment fee. It often may cause regulation violated.
